A Campaign by SpineLife

SpineLife is pleased to announce their first venture in helping those who have been severely injured on the field of play. SpineLife was inspired by several events: the spinal cord injury suffered by Travis Hearn of Rock Island High School, the tragic death of professional football player Al Lucas due to spinal cord injury, as well as head trauma observed and experienced in sporting incidents.

The vision of SpineLife is to bring hope and awareness to head trauma and spinal cord injury victims, in particular those who have sustained injury while playing sport or pursuing physical activity. SpineLife believes that there is signifigant hope for those who have suffered severe head and neck injuries. With the advances in modern medicine a cure seems to be on the horizon. SpineLife seeks to assist and aid those in the information-seeking process as it relates to head and spinal cord injuries, provide valuable information on prevention, and provide financial assistance for costs incurred outside of current medical coverage for those who have suffered head trauma and spinal cord injuries.

SpineLife is in the beginning stages of what it hopes will be a nationwide network of individuals unwilling to allow those who have received spinal cord injury or head trauma while participating in sporting incidents to be marginalized. The sporting community represents strength, speed, and agility of the human body; may this community seek justice in the lives of those who have had these qualities taken from them on the field of play.
